The Ultimate Dark Harbor 2026 Maze Guide for the Queen Mary

Planning a trip to Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary? The 13th season runs select nights from September 18 through November 1 in Long Beach, and this year the lineup is 6 mazes, including an all-new one staged aboard the ship. Here is my guide to the lineup, ranked by atmosphere, storytelling, and scare potential.

Icon characters onstage

1.Lullaby: Teddy’s Revenge. Scary Mary’s maze returns reimagined, built around the first-class swimming pool where she drowned, and this year her teddy bear comes back possessed. It’s one of the mazes open during early entry.

2. Shipwrecked: Brace for Impact. This new maze for 2026 is located inside the ship. The story goes that the ship crashed through a submarine and the drowned sailors have come back. This is the story for the new icon character called the Commander. Expect a lot of new effects in this one. It will also be open during early entry.

3. Infirmary: The Siren Song. Graceful Gale and Dr. Edwin Masters pick their story back up with a new finale. There is also an upgraded experience called Gale’s Requiem at the exit of the maze before leaving the ship.

4. Big Top Terror: Carnival of Chaos. The Ringmaster’s carnival is always a scary fun time! Clowns galore.

5. Voodoo: The Queen’s Curse. The Voodoo Priestess hexes a crew, steals their ship, and crashes it in Long Beach to raise the dead. The detail in the set design of the maze is beautifully done.

6. Breakout: Maximum Security. This is the prison maze built around Samuel the Savage, the killer from stateroom B340. It’s located next to the main stage. The Chef from Feast is locked away here now that Feast has closed. I had an incredible interaction with him in the secret speakeasy.

Beyond the mazes, Dark Harbor has more going on than most events this size. The Harbor Awakens is a nighttime procession through the harbor, there are 4 hidden speakeasies and the Lookout VIP Lounge if you want a break from the fog, and the Alien Abduction spinning ride and Blacklight Bumper Cars are new this year.
