If you want a spooky Halloween tradition that will definitely get your engines revving, you need to check out the Haunted Car Wash. What started in 2020 has grown into an immersive drive-thru experience that spans two coasts with five locations: Anaheim, Lakewood, San Diego and Montclair here in Southern California and they’ve even taken the nightmare to Greenville, North Carolina.

Before you even enter the actual carwash, there’s a pre-wash scare zone filled with thick fog, creepy soundtracks (on 100.7 FM), and scare actors who terrorize your car. My recommendation is to leave your windows down and doors unlocked while you wait in line. The actors will come around to scare you, and they might even get inside your car. Once you transition into the car wash, make sure all the doors are closed and windows are up, while the spooky fun continues inside the tunnel, and yes, there are actors in there scaring you too.

I braved the terror solo this year, and once again their scare actors proved they are absolute pros. As an actor and former scareactor myself, the performances are what I watch closest, and this cast is doing real work. They move together with incredible chemistry, quick and observant, creating setups and scare moments so perfectly that they make it look effortless. I am thoroughly impressed by the way they stay aware of the cars moving around them while continuously scaring the passengers and drivers alike.
You can pack your car full of friends or take on the terror by yourself, since you pay per vehicle, making it a fantastic experience either way. Grab your tickets and find all the details at thehauntedcarwash.com.
If you have never done a drive-thru haunt, this is the one to start with. And if you have, the cast is the reason to come back.

Thank you so much Haunted Car Wash for having me out for your media event. I had a screaming good time!
