Exploring the Dark and Beautiful World of Haunted Soirée (review)

I attended Haunted Soirée in Los Angeles this season and it was wonderful. This immersive, story-driven cocktail party has always been one of my favorite Halloween events. It continues to impress me with its beautiful design, talented performers, and rich, open-world storytelling.

From the moment you enter, you’re invited to freely explore a Vampiric world filled with mystery, emotion, and gothic elegance. I’ve always appreciated the open-world format of this show—it gives guests the freedom to wander, uncover hidden storylines, and interact with characters who make the narrative feel alive and personal. The performers did a phenomenal job once again. Each character felt distinct and their ability to engage naturally with guests made every interaction memorable.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was the VIP experience, “The Ceremony.” It was beautifully staged, emotionally charged, and hauntingly atmospheric. The lighting, costumes, sound design, and performance worked together perfectly to create a truly captivating moment. I was completely immersed from start to finish.

The event also includes a scavenger hunt-style storytelling element, encouraging guests to gather clues and visit certain characters to advance their personal storylines. While this aspect worked smoothly in past years, there was a bit of confusion this time around about which characters to visit next. I was given conflicting information and found myself looping back to a task that gave me the same item I’d already received from a different character. Still, I admire the ambition behind it and appreciate that the creators continue to experiment and refine the interactivity each season.

Aside from that, everything else about Haunted Soirée ran beautifully. The pacing, atmosphere, and production quality were all top-notch. The lighting, costumes, sound and set design transformed the space into a gothic dreamscape, with every corner offering something visually striking. The overall vibe struck that rare balance between elegance and eeriness.

Overall, I had a lovely time at Haunted Soirée. It’s perfect for those who want a mix of storytelling, performance and nightlife.
