Escapology has officially opened a new location in Marina del Rey and I had the chance to play their Batman escape room during the grand opening event. The three of us escaped with just under ten minutes left on the clock and overall it was a fun time.
This 60-minute adventure takes players into the world of Gotham City. Batman has initiated a new Gotham City Guardian training program and you have been selected to participate. The game uses video screens effectively to enhance the story and atmosphere, creating cinematic moments that help elevate the immersion. The props and set design look fantastic and adds detail that helps bring the theme to life.

Though the game space is on the smaller side, it’s used cleverly—opening into additional rooms that create good flow and variety. The puzzles are approachable and enjoyable, well-suited for beginners or mixed-experience teams. A few of the tasks could use slightly clearer signposting, but overall, gameplay feels intuitive enough to keep things moving. The ending offers a memorable, story-driven moment that gives players a satisfying sense of conclusion.
