The Hole is excited to announce a special project in a shuttered 99cent store this Frieze week in Los Angeles, 99CENT. The aisles of the store become an artist flea market of sorts activating our West Coast network of artists and outsiders, while the walls will be covered with works by Barry McGee, works from his personal collection as well as pieces from over a hundred friends. Expect another Anti-Fascist Zine fair, bands and performances; think of it as an artist healing center and community hangout zone.

This special building at 6121 Wilshire has been a fixture for the local community for almost forty years, and has been boarded up the past year awaiting future activation. One block from LACMA, come discover a giant artist-driven installation that celebrates the outsider and the overlooked, focusing on the human side of the creative process over the commercial.
