Fright Fest presented by Snickers is back at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, running select nights from September 19 through November 2, 2025. With terrifying mazes, sinister scare zones, exhilarating live shows, and some seriously good themed food and drinks, there’s no shortage of thrills waiting for Halloween fans.

Let’s dive into the mazes first because this lineup is strong.
The Conjuring Universe is an excellent intellectual property maze. You’ll face Annabelle, encounter the Nun, and find yourself immersed in that eerie cinematic world. The design and flow make it one of the standout licensed mazes this year.
SAW: Legacy of Terror is another impressive IP maze. Fans of the films will love walking through scenes inspired by John Kramer’s twisted games and traps. It feels true to the franchise — dark, tense, and filled with those moments that make you hold your breath. I love the traps in this maze! It’s so cool to be able to stand face to face with these life-sized torture devices!
Trick ‘r Treat, tucked away near Riddler’s Revenge, was one of my personal favorites. The candy trail and that iconic little guy in orange with the burlap sack face brought so much fun to the night. The actors here were on fire! High energy, great timing, and they got me more than once!
Willoughby’s Resurrected remains a classic. Its Victorian mansion aesthetic and eerie atmosphere always make it a must-see. Having taken a behind-the-scenes tour in the past, I’ve developed a soft spot for this maze and appreciate the details even more now.
Vault 666 is a vault of cursed artifacts and they’ve executed it well again this year. It’s solid, spooky, and visually interesting throughout.
Condemned: Forever Damned is set inside a decaying house and definitely brings the creep factor. I’ll admit, I personally enjoy this one a little more during Scream Break, when it’s higher energy and chaotic in a fun way, but it still works in the haunt season with its eerie tone.
Truth or Dare takes on a game show vibe. It had one of the most interesting concepts.
And finally, Carnage — the brand-new maze for 2025 — absolutely blew me away! This was hands down the scariest maze of the night. It’s intense, creative, and feels unlike anything they’ve done before.

Now the Scare Zones, because Six Flags knows how to bring them to life.
City Under Siege is back and as wild as ever — packed with clowns, sliders, and pure chaos. The energy is infectious, and the slider show here is incredible. These performers are top-tier; their movement and timing are truly a show in itself.
The new Thunderbolt Alley introduces a rockabilly theme that’s stylish and unique.
CarnivHell continues the creepy carnival vibes perfectly.
Devil’s Triangle sits near the front of the park and delivers an unsettling start to the night & the actors here are relentless.
Exile Hill is dark and foreboding.
Grimmlore Ridge is atmospheric and moody.
Plaza de la Muerte brings a brighter, more beautiful Día de los Muertos celebration to balance the scares.
I also loved Underworld of Oz, which reimagines familiar characters in creepy ways — nostalgic, detailed, and super fun.
And the new Nightmares: Reign of Blood a twisted Wonderland is visually stunning and packed with personality.

As for the shows, all three this year are absolute highlights. Unleashed, the opening ceremony, sets the tone perfectly. Sliders of the Night (that incredible slider show I mentioned earlier) isn’t just stunts, it tells a story through movement, dance, and sliding that’s genuinely impressive. And Margo Rita’s Monster Ball is an all-new, high-energy show filled with humor, music, and charm…definitely not to be missed.
Overall, I had an amazing time at Fright Fest 2025. The creative team behind the event clearly poured their hearts into it this year, and it shows. The mazes are strong, the scare zones are full of life (and screams), and the shows continue to be some of the best entertainment of the night.
A huge thank-you to the PR team for inviting me to the media event. It’s always a blast getting to interact with the characters before they hit the park and Magic Mountain consistently has some of the most creative and memorable monsters around. I always look forward to seeing my favorites like Lorraine Lurrane, Jinx the Fool, and of course Margo Rita.

If you’re looking for a night packed with screams, laughter, and a ton of Halloween spirit, Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain is a fun time! And you can ride the rides too!
